Legal clinic database #4. First results

We are happy to perform our first working results!

  1. With the help of “Notion” app we made a list with useful tips for making a good written consultation.

The students have to use a define structure (similar to IRAC) while typing the consultation. First of all, they apprise the reader about the facts of the case which are the core of every further step. In this stage the students have to answer few similar questions: Who? What? Where? When? Why? and How? We added a sample to make the task clearer.

Secondly, they perform the legal acts used for giving the consultation. The students have to be attentive and use only valid rules.

Thirdly, they do a deep legal research and combine the rules developed in the previous section with the specific facts of the issue.

And finally, the students make a conclusion — it directly answers the question presented in the first section. It may also consist of: requests for additional materials from the client; the names and addresses of legal institutions to which the client has to appeal; some recommendations about the ways to solve the issue and approximate costs of the judicial process.

2. We decided to make “the life easier” for the students by making a page with all typical samples of legal documents needed while working at the legal clinic.
