Did you know, as per the 2016 Amendment of the Motor Vehicles Act, driving without a license invites a fine of Rs. 5000!!
You now don’t have to run after touts to get your duplicate license, simply follow these below steps to get your duplicate license issued.
- Get Form L.L.D. from your local RTO or RTO’s website.
- Fill and submit form at the RTO alongwith nominal fee.
- After completing all the above steps, you will get a receipt which can be used in place of a driving license till you get a duplicate license. The duplicate driving license will be sent to your registered home address via post.
Documents required for re-issue
- Application Form L.L.D.
- A First Information Report (FIR) or Non Cognizable Report (NCR).
- Attested photocopies of the original driver’s licence.
- Details of the Driving Licence
- Passport sized photographs
- Address Proof documents for reference
- Age proof documents for reference
Additional documents might be asked for depending on the reason of applying for a duplicate license.
Validity of the Duplicate Driving License
The validity of the duplicate driving license is the same as of the original driving license.
