Be That Guy: A lesson I Never Forgot!
The world is full of people who make excuses — who hide behind rules, regulations, policies, laziness, and a “not my job” mentality to justify their inaction. They use these constraints as shields to avoid taking responsibility, making decisions, or stepping outside their comfort zones. Whether it’s in business, government, or personal life, they cling to limitations rather than seeking creative solutions. Instead of pushing boundaries, challenging outdated norms, or taking initiative, they find solace in blaming the system, circumstances, or others for their lack of progress. Their unwillingness to adapt, improve, or go the extra mile stalls innovation, slows progress and creates unnecessary obstacles for those who are willing to take risks and get things done.
