MITA’S MONTHLY UPDATE FOR FEBRUARY, 2024
In February, we were fortunate to have an additional day of enjoyment due to 2024 being a leap year! And guess what? The MITAverse did not miss out on the exciting events as every team member diligently dedicated themselves to their job roles, aiming to enhance app development and ensure utmost user satisfaction 🔥
Allow us to present to you a few of the remarkable updates we implemented last month 🚀
MILESTONES THAT WERE ACHIEVED IN THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY
🔸MITA Foundation’s learn & build event: The MITA Foundation team brought its Web3 Build and Learn Series to MEST Africa, one of the foremost digital tech incubators on the African continent. The event convened some of the leading voices in Ghana’s Web3 technology ecosystem, including Kena Amoah, Claire Dang Hoai, Mary Okwong, Business, and Vicentia Asilevi. With over 60 participants in attendance, the session was marked by engaging discussions, insightful questions, and valuable contributions from both experts and attendees.
🔸Community giveaway: To commemorate and look forward to the launch of V2-R3, we organized a community giveaway. Participants who were keen to join were required to adhere to a few basic guidelines on our Twitter page. The giveaway will result in producing five lucky winners who will share in a pool of 50 $USDT.
🔸Bridge shutdown: We finally shut down the bridge in order to make necessary arrangements for the introduction of our new token. With the implementation of this new token, we will be able to concentrate on a single chain and effectively resolve all the problems that users have been experiencing with the bridge. After the successful token migration in V2-R3, MITA holders on the Klaytn network will be provided with the opportunity to exchange their tokens for the new ones at a 1:1 ratio. This will allow them to conveniently trade their tokens without having to rely on the bridge.
🔸Valentine’s Day special: We decided to make Valentine's day extra special for all Mitarians by organizing a virtual date night event on the MITA app. The voice stream consisted of love songs and romantic stories, ensuring that no user would be lonely on a day specially meant for togetherness.
🔸Introduction of MITA hangout event: Since MITA is such a fun app, we thought it would be awesome to make the most of that fun by organizing a weekly get-together called MITA hangout. This event is a mix of karaoke, music streaming, and storytelling, and it’s going to happen every Friday at exactly 5 pm UTC. And guess what? Every time someone sings a song, they’ll instantly receive 35 $MITA as a reward!
🔸Internal AMA event: A town hall call was done in the app, featuring Destiny Marshall as the host. Themed; What's happening on the MITAverse, the community call was intended to be an engaging one with the vibrant community members of MITA partaking on discussions centered around the exploration into insights and happenings within the MITAverse.
🔸Donation of tokens to promote growth in Africa and other regions: The MITA Foundation is committed to building a thriving ecosystem of decentralized innovation in Africa. In order to achieve this objective, the MITA Foundation has initiated its Web3 build and learn programme by allocating 10,000,000 $MITA tokens to empower the web3 community and foster development in Africa and other regions.
🔸Sneak peeks of R3: Excitement has been steadily growing in anticipation of the release of R3, with community members eagerly looking forward to the launch. Therefore, we decided to share exclusive previews of videos and images showcasing what members can anticipate from the launch. Needly to state, this sparked a wave of enthusiasm within the community as they eagerly await what lies ahead.
🔸Debugging and error fixes: It is crucial to debug and fix errors on the app in order to ensure maximum user satisfaction. Our development team is fully cognizant of this fact and is consistently providing top-notch services.
