Following the reception of the Legion Library and the Spaces we were fortunate to be a part of hosted by The Beard, I have initiated the launch of this newsletter and have began work on several articles and new written ventures to add to the Legion Library repertoire. I am humbled by the sentiment harbored and voiced by our partners in the space, I anticipate the release of a story featuring CrazyHuskies soon, a new series of articles tentatively titled Voices of SOL, a humanitarian idea in development showcasing the chains passionate advocators, hard workers and community contributors with a premiere piece on a good friend, idea collaborator and insightful alpha writer with a name you may recognize but operates under many. Depending on which server you catch him working hard in, all of which are projects to add to a watchlist, I cannot wait to get start with you brother, the incomparable Duskkeyy!
Lastly in upcoming collabs, and in a turn down the writer’s rabbit hole, I am talking with The Beard, also seen in many communities and founder of Homi3sDAO, to team up on a writing venture that will be a new and possibly intense and exciting challenge for us both. I am overjoyed to delve into the shadows with a figurehead of Solana, whom I admire to a great degree and am blessed to share his time, privileged to encounter, and to navigate the NFT and crypto space with one of the most authentic, charismatic, heartwarming and upstanding SOL citizens.
The Artist Spotlight: War and NFTs for family
In the 30 or more NFT projects we are members of in the space at any given time, there are few we call family. The community and the team have such a strong connection that is palpable to us and begins really resonating the moment we jump in general chat. It immediately leaves a mark on us. Some may think that’s too soon, but we instinctively and subconsciously determine how we feel about something, or someone, within the first 5 seconds of introduction. Viewing something, or someone, pleasurable causes the pupils to dilate up to 45% as a tsunami of euphoria washes over us. The same feeling as going under the influence of narcotics, the runner’s high, or for most in this space, it’s the when our wallet window springs to the forefront, hit approve, and stalling the climax until we view a successful transaction notice. The vice the subconscious is chasing causes the synapses and brain chemistry to enter a state of temporary bliss. That mark previously mentioned is a vice also.

The art on the discord invite window is home to the first piece of art by an artist that captures your heart, as most join via another server shill, for me in this case, it was NashotobiNFT. A Ukrainian writer/artist that created Shipsgrave, 3 collections of Lovecraftian themed art storytelling via NFTs and self-published physical hardcover book, made the dark side of my heart smile, where to describe his skill displayed on an apical level is an understatement. He captured the rest of my heart with his genuine conversation and expressing a level of love for family tightly woven to each other in a bond I have never witnessed before, or ever had myself. I was entranced by the gracious spirit, the generosity of friendship, and the resilience of heart for using all revenue of recently released Shipsgrave Sirens collection to provide for his brothers currently on the frontlines of the Ukrainian war.

Generators, vehicles and food are what his soldier siblings need, clearly necessities of value that leave the wallet empty faster than it can fill, which is not an easy task as artist, also scriptwriter for Longharbor, husband and father to 5 year old daughter, located in ever-growing grotesque conditions of the Ukrainian conflict eclipses the enjoyment for community to mint out an NFT collection in celebration of art, but as a necessary means of survival.

Nashotobi is part of the Legion family, the Avatar for Legion Letter premiere is a deriv he gifted the Legion, all the art included here, other than the new Legion art by Bushido and the YobiNFT announcement, was produced by him. NFTs have the ability to bring people together, supporting a top tier artist, supporting family, to fight a war. He is a unique individual, a dark visionary with exquisite expression through art that is unparalleled in the space, only usurped by his kindness, loyalty, generosity and compatriotism.

His friendly, respectful and polite nature will melt your heart as it did mine, and he personifies why to DYOR the people behind projects in which you may invest, you might find yourself drawn to the dark art, and inevitably awestruck by the exemplary pillar of a human in the space, with a truly valiant and vigilante spirit, creating art for the support of nuclear family members, in the direst circumstances of military uprising on a scale unimaginable to most of us. I will be adding to my collection of his work in support of him and his efforts, I implore and beseech you to do the same.
