With spring’s arrival, we leave behind a very cold winter which many LGBT+ people have endured on the streets. As part of our #ShineBrightInColour campaign, this April we are reflecting on the LGBT+ and homelessness theme using the yellow colour of the rainbow, which symbolises Sunlight. With posters and useful links, we are aiming to raise awareness on this very distressing situation. Don’t forget to engage in the conversation using the #ShineBrightInColour hashtag.

Strong Ties Support Group

As part of the Adult Trans Project, the Centre has a support group for family members or partners of somebody who is transgender/questioning. The group is a great chance to ask questions and meet other people who are in a similar situation. Strong Ties meets at the Leicester LGB&T Centre on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month from 6–8pm. If you feel that you’d benefit from attending the group or know somebody who would, do get in touch!
