Today we mark the World AIDS Day as a reminder of the challenges and stigma that people living with HIV still face.

Although there has been some progress; such as the early diagnosis and access to treatment or the decline of new HIV infections among adults and children, there are still many obstacles to overcome.

According to the National AIDS Trust, 1 in 10 people living with HIV has experienced verbal harassment relating to their HIV. Almost half of the people living with HIV in the world didn’t have access to treatment on 2016 (Data from Unaids.org). These are just some of the issues affecting HIV people, but there are many more.

This years’ campaign, #LetsEndIt, is focusing on ending isolation, stigma and HIV transmission. You can find more information and how to get involved here.
