There’s no doubt about it. Both shows hold some pretty big names. Little Mix, formerly, four members, are one of the biggest girl bands globally. But, that surely wouldn’t be the case without the initial boost from Simon Cowell, and holding the title of the first group to win X Factor.

But of course since then, they’ve taken on the world, decided to depart from Mr Cowell’s label, Syco, Jesy Nelson leaving due to health reasons, and had their very own talent show. But of theirs and their mentor’s shows, based on my own views, which is better?

Firstly, entertainment aspects.

Simon Cowell is a flashy, choose-the-trendiest-entertainment-to-draw-people-in, type of guy. He’s got all types of big names to go on his shows from Diversity (previous winners of BGT), to 1D and JLS and BTS at their times of popularity. Meanwhile, with LMTS the main focus doesn’t seem to be get the top ratings and viewers, as the main purpose of the 1st and most probably last season was to choose a band to open for them on their tour. Or maybe the entertaining aspect was to get the chance to perform only a few feet infront of a prominent musical group.

But either way, the older of the two wins here.

Entertainment Winner: X Factor

Now for the perspective of those who take their shots on these shows.

Melladaze — band formed on LMTS

Most of the time, the judges on the X Factor had their main streaks within the music industry a while back, so their experiences would differ from those looking to enter the business now. On the other hand, Little Mix are currently in the biz, have huge successes under their belt, and would know how to help the singers cope with pressures, intro to the industry, tips, etc… Therefore, their mentoring would be invaluable for those starting out.

Experience Winner: Little Mix: The Search

So, looking at all the various perspectives, 2 conclusion can be drawn: to the audience, X Factor is definitely the more glamorous, whilst LMTS provides the better opportunity to contestants.
