Gaudí World Foundation

The Gaudí World Foundation is a non-profit organization established to protect the legacy of world-renowned architect Antoni Gaudí and promote his work and philosophy. Its activities include preserving and studying Gaudí’s innovative architecture and artistic vision, and supporting scholars and artists who study his work.

The main projects being carried out by the Gaudí World Foundation are as follows:

1. Conservation and Restoration of Gaudí’s Architecture: Support and manage conservation and restoration projects for Gaudí’s most iconic buildings, including the Sagrada Familia, Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, and Park Güell.

2. Research and Academic Support: Promotes in-depth study of Gaudí’s architectural style and philosophy. To this end, we operate academic programs, provide funding for Gaudí-related research, and publish papers in international academic journals.

3. Educational Programs and Workshops: It operates educational programs and workshops for students and the general public to increase understanding of Gaudí’s architectural philosophy and works, and provide creative architectural education.

4. Exhibitions and Cultural Events: Organizing and hosting exhibitions and cultural events in Barcelona and around the world on the theme of Gaudí’s work and his artistic legacy.

5. International Collaboration and Networking: It collaborates with Gaudí researchers, architects, cultural institutions, and others around the world to build international networks. This contributes to the preservation and study of Gaudí’s legacy on a global level.

Background and purpose of the joint venture, Gaudí Asia Pacific

Due to the shared vision and values ​​of The Moon Labs and the Gaudí World Foundation revealed at the Gaudí World Congress Seoul 2023, Gaudí Asia Pacific was established to spread Antoni Gaudí’s sustainable inspiration and philosophical approach globally.

Through the joint venture, it aims to create a sustainable structure that can more effectively impact Korea and Asia as a whole, adapting the same initiatives they are pursuing in Barcelona to the Korean market and public.

Gaudí Asia Pacific reflects the commitment to promote and promote Gaudí’s spirit and creative legacy in Asia and will serve as a bridge to connect and inspire diverse cultures through Gaudí’s unique architectural and artistic legacy.

Business in Progress

• November 2023: A joint business agreement was signed with the Gaudí World Foundation at the ‘Gaudí World Congress Seoul 2023’. The Gaudí World Foundation plans to establish a new Web3 development team and select The Moon Labs as its exclusive global digital partner to pursue various Web3 and digital business in earnest.
• January 2024: To commemorate the partnership between the Gaudí World Foundation and The Moon Labs, we issued the Joybo NFT, an art toy designed by artist Ivan Casabó, whose design emphasizes the uniqueness and artistry of Gaudí’s architecture.

• March 2024: Co-hosted NFT Korea Festival 2024, the largest NFT festival in Asia. The exhibition with the theme of Natural Thinking featured a variety of experiential booths and exhibition activities, including media exhibitions inspired by Gaudí’s architecture, Gaudí projects, Gaudí’s legacy, and workshops. In addition, there was a presentation of Gaudí’s unpublished posthumous works and plans to be promoted in the future with The Moon Labs. Also, Pilot versions of the projects have been released.

Gaudí Mosaic Workshop with experts from the Gaudí World Foundation, in-depth Gaudí architecture, networking, and a certificate from the Gaudí World Foundation for all participants The unique event, where all participants can receive an official certificate from the Gaudí World Foundation by experiencing the Gaudí Mosaic technique and can publish their mosaic works as NFTs, attracted great public attention.

This event will not be a one-time exhibition, but rather, the content will be disseminated more widely after the exhibition and even exported overseas, creating a metaverse based on Gaudí’s iconic architecture to provide a new and enriching content experience that transcends traditional boundaries.

Future Plans and Outlook

Gaudí Asia Pacific is gearing up to bring a new level of cultural and artistic exchange and innovative inspiration to everyday life. Starting with the Gaudí Hubs in Seoul and Thailand, we plan to share Gaudí’s philosophy and reinterpret his architectural heritage in a contemporary language that will reach across the world.

We will establish a Gaudí hub in Seoul to spread Gaudí’s philosophy and strengthen the influence of Gaudí initiatives in Korea through a complex cultural space.

We will continue to hold joint AMAs to share the progress and achievements of our collaborative projects, including web3 businesses based on Gaudi IP and various joint business plans.

Gaudí World Foundation will act as a creator in LeisureMeta’s dApp, the creator fandom community LM NOVA, and will issue content to promote Gaudí, such as issuing Gaudí NFT fine art collections and providing information about Gaudí.

In addition, we are preparing to simultaneously launch the ‘Immersive Media Art’ global exhibition using Gaudí IP in Seoul and Bangkok, Thailand, and we plan to continue to hold new types of events that combine digital and tradition.
