[LM 투자자 보호 센터] 투자자 피해 보상 절차 이행에 대한 레저메타 재단 입장문

안녕하세요. LM 재단 대표 문성억입니다.

LM 재단은 2023년 6월 21일 [LM 투자자 보호 센터]를 개설하여 2023년 8월 18일까지 투자자 보호를 위한 피해보상 접수를 받았습니다. 2023년 8월 18일 17:00 KST까지 접수 완료된 보상 건에 대한 검수 과정을 거쳐 보상 지급 절차가 이행 되었음을 밝혀 드립니다.

그간, 재단과 프로젝트 운영을 책임지는 대표로서 막중한 책임감을 갖고 실질적 피해 보상을 포함한 투자자 보호 조치와 함께 재발 방지를 위해 재단이 해야 하는 제반 조치를 성실히 이행해 왔습니다.

사건 인지 직후 각 거래소에 비정상적 거래 행위 동결 요청과 동시에 수사기관에 신고, 해당 범죄에 대한 수사에 착수했고, 현재도 엄정한 수사가 진행 중에 있습니다.

수사기관과 거래소들의 적극적인 협조로 탈취된 토큰 중 상당 물량을 회수하였습니다.

탈취 물량의 추가적인 유통 방지와 범죄 가능성을 차단하기 위해 LM을 재발행하고 스왑을 실행했습니다.

더 한층 강화된 보안으로 향후 유사 사건의 재발을 원천적으로 차단하고 토큰 유통의 투명성과 안정성을 제고하기 위해 가상자산 전문수탁업체인 한국디지털에셋(KODA)와 계약을 체결하였습니다.

유의종목 지정 후 거래지원 유지적격성 심사를 위한 거래소의 제반 소명 요청에 성실히 임했습니다.

LM 투자자 보호 센터를 개설하고, 법무법인 세종과 에스크로(Escrow) 계약을 체결하여 투자자의 피해 현황을 면밀히 파악하고, 정확한 검수 과정과 적법한 절차에 따라 보상금 지급 절차를 진행했습니다.

LM 재단의 대표와 임직원 모두는 투자자 보호를 위한 모든 조치가 마무리 되었다고는 생각하지 않습니다.

투자자 보호를 위해 재단이 취해야 할 마지막 조치는 재단과 LM의 가치를 입증하는 것이라고 생각합니다.

ISMS 예비인증을 획득(ISMS-KISA-2023–086)하여 보안 정책, 인력, 장비 및 시설 등 주요 정보자산 보호를 위한 물리적·인적·시스템적 보안 프로세스가 충실히 마련돼 있음을 공인 받았습니다. 향후 이를 기반으로 가상자산사업자(VASP) 신고를 마무리 해 LM 프로젝트의 성공적 사업확장에 박차를 가하겠습니다.

웹3 크리에이터 팬덤 커뮤니티, LM NOVA(엘엠 노바)와 웹3 크리에이터 NFT 마켓플레이스, playNomm(플레이놈)은 이 순간에도 의미 있는 사업적 성과를 만들어 가며 웹3 글로벌 리더의 지위에 도전하고 있습니다.

[LM Investor Support Center] LM Foundation Statement on Investor Support Compensation Fulfillment

Dear LM Investors,

This is Sung-Uk Moon, CEO of LM Foundation.

LM Foundation has been operating the [LM Investor Support Center] from June 21st 2023 and has been receiving claims for compensation from the investors. As of August 18th 2023 17:00 KST, the compensation payment process has been implemented after reviewing the claims received.

As the representative in charge of the Foundation and project operations, we have taken great responsibility and diligently implemented investor protection measures, including compensation for actual damages, as well as other measures that the Foundation should take to prevent any recurrence.

Immediately after becoming aware of the incident, we requested a freeze on abnormal trading behavior from each exchange and simultaneously notified law enforcement agencies, initiated an investigation into the crime, and are still conducting a rigorous investigation.

Thanks to the active cooperation of law enforcement agencies and exchanges, a significant amount of the stolen tokens was recovered.

To prevent any future criminal activities and circulation of the stolen tokens, LM Foundation has migrated to a new contract, conducted token swap.

We signed a contract with Korea Digital Asset (KODA), a custody firm, specializing in virtual assets, to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents in the future with enhanced security and to enhance the transparency and stability of token distribution.

We have been responding diligently to the exchange's request for any clarification on the eligibility of maintaining trading support after the designation of investment caution.

We have opened LM Investor Support Center and signed an escrow agreement with Shin & Kim law firm to ensure compensation to the investors.

We do not believe that the compensation process is completed.

We believe that the last step the Foundation needs to take to protect investors further is to demonstrate the value of the Foundation and LM itself.

We will continue to earn the trust of the investors and stakeholders who have placed their faith and support in LM Foundation.

With the trust and support of all our investors and stakeholders, we will achieve greater leaps and growth.

All members of the LM Foundation are putting joint effort to fulfill the vision of Web3 Enabler.

On September, 2023, LM will be hosting Web3 Creator Festival in the greatest scale of the country, together with Incheon Daily, Incheon Namdong District, and Sorae Art Hall, to discover and nurture Web 3 Creators, the new occupation of the upcoming era. This festival and the Foundation’s Web3 Creator Fund will discover and nurture Web3 Creator and enhance partnerships with various partners.

Continuing the NFT Korea Festival 2023 held in March in representing the NFT and digital art of Korea to the international world, LM Foundation will be managing the NFT sector of NFT World Tour hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and supervised by the Korea Creative Content Agency. From this, we will be promoting national prestige and open new doors for outstanding enterprises of South Korea.

The Foundation has put global market advance on track through the renewal of UAE NFT Marketplace Provider License.

The Foundation has also acquired ISMS Preliminary Certification (ISMS-KISA-2023-086) and therefore has been certified that the privacy process in terms of physicality, human resources, and the system is sufficiently prepared. Based on the acquisition, LM Project will complete the registration as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) and accelerate the process of a successful business expansion.

Web3 Creator Fandom Community, LM NOVA, and Web3 Creator NFT Marketplace, playNomm, is achieving significant business outcomes and striving for the title of Web3 global leader even at this moment.
