Maite Pina joins Lendable as Director of Sustainable Finance

Lendable is excited to launch its Sustainable Finance investment strategy with the hiring of Maite Pina as Director of Sustainable Finance. Daniel Goldfarb, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Lendable, said of the hire, “A core part of Lendable’s mission moving forwards is the launch of an emissions reduction and resilience investment strategy focused on emerging markets. Maite brings over 20 years of experience across renewable energy project development, sustainable private credit investing in home devices, and carbon credit finance. She is a leader in the industry and her passion for a more sustainable future is palpable. We are honored to have her join Lendable to help get our new Sustainable Finance strategy off the ground.”

Maite is an energy and climate finance professional who is passionate about social impact investing. She believes that only by reducing and addressing inequality, we can address the climate change challenges we have in front of us.

She has dedicated most of her career to clean energy and carbon finance in emerging markets. Prior to joining Lendable, she was a Senior Investment Officer at FMO, the Dutch DFI. At FMO, she focussed on business development in Africa, structuring complex and innovative transactions and mentoring junior staff. Earlier in her career, she spent time working for companies such as Climate Change Capital and Carbon Capital Markets where she gained in-depth knowledge of carbon markets, investments and clean energy project development. She has also provided advisory/consultancy services to multilaterals and governments in emerging markets.

She brings a variety of skills with substantial experience in decarbonization.

Maite holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cartagena in Spain, a MSc in Financial Economics from University of London and is a CFA® charterholder.
