Lendable is delighted to announce that Mary Kahng has joined the company as Head of Investor Relations. She will be responsible for Lendable’s business development and manage Lendable’s investor relations team. She sits on the management team and reports to the CEO, Chris Wehbe.

Mary has over two decades of experience and prior to joining Lendable, Mary worked at Saemor Capital and ING in the Netherlands and at Ivy Asset Management, Bear Stearns and Merrill Lynch in the United States. Chris commented “We are delighted to welcome Mary to the firm and to learn from her experience as we seek to scale assets into emerging market impact. As a Board, we made a commitment over the past 2 years to promote women in finance as part of the 2x challenge and we are therefore also proud to now have 50% female representation across our team.”

Mary added “I am so excited to join Lendable. The company’s mission to harness the power of fintech to make the world more economically just really resonates with me and the focus on gender lens investing is something I’ve supported my entire career. Lendable has a great team of enthusiastic, talented and focused people with big ambitions to have positive impact with scale.”
