At Lendefi we are building the lending protocols of the future and our vision is for our protocol to become a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). We believe that our token holders are ideally positioned to guide the strategic decisions necessary to shepherd Lendefi into long-term success.

The Lendefi protocol is still in its development phase, but the support from our token holder base has been inspiring. We recently ran a Twitter poll asking our community if they would prefer a swift delivery of the Lendefi protocol based on agile development, or slower delivery of the protocol using waterfall methodology.

The response to our poll was a resounding “yes” for Lendefi to adopt a swifter, agile delivery approach.

We’d like to thank the community for voting. The poll provided valuable insight into the perspectives of our community at this important junction. Lendefi’s community has spoken and we will be adopting their feedback.

The concept of agile development has gained traction in recent years, yet many people are still unfamiliar with the contrasting terms “agile development” and “waterfall development”.

Waterfall development represents a linear approach that used to be called the Linear Sequential Life Cycle Model. In this process, development happens in sequential order and each stage of development starts only after the previous stage has been completed.

In contrast, an agile development methodology emphasizes a continuous iteration of software testing during the development process. Unlike the waterfall methodology, agile development allows for development and testing activities to run concurrently during development.

Each approach offers different advantages. In the case of the Lendefi protocol, an agile approach will facilitate increased communication between developers, testers and managers. The result will be faster delivery of the protocol to market. This will allow Lendefi to deliver the key aspects of the protocol, yet add further functionality once it is live.

Lendefi’s management team views an agile development approach as an opportunity to provide a swift return to our token holders, while focusing on the most important elements of the protocol. It’s clear that our community shares this perspective and Lendefi will be implementing an agile development methodology for protocol development.

As we cross the next development milestones, Lendefi will have further updates and presentations to share with our token holders. We are proud to have a vibrant community supporting us and our goal is to bring the Lendefi protocol to market in the most efficient manner possible.

The Lendefi protocol will deliver leveraged trading and secured lending for cryptocurrency markets. Utilizing an undercollateralized loan model, Lendefi facilitates a trustless relationship between lender and borrower, managed by the protocol to remove counterparty risk.
