LendLedger Joins the Smart Campaign’s FintechProtects Community of Practice
LendLedger couldn’t be more excited to announce that we have joined The Smart Campaign’s FintechProtects Community of Practice (CoP)!
The FintechProtects CoP is a group of practitioners who are working together to build industry will and know-how to address emerging consumer risks in digital financial services. It’s a place where providers can learn, share, debate and help shape best practices. This community was designed to help advance the Smart Campaign’s vision of ensuring that digital financial services offer the greatest value to consumers while maintaining adequate protections.
The Smart Campaign, which is an initiative of the The Center for Financial Inclusion at Accion, is a global effort to unite financial leaders around the common goal of keeping clients as the driving force of the industry. The Smart Campaign asserts that by behaving responsibly Lenders build strong, lasting relationships with clients, increase client retention, and reduce financial risk.
LendLedger is a platform centered on increasing financial inclusion. By creating a protocol to lend to the 200+ million, micro, small and medium sized enterprises that are currently financially underserved, we strive to close the $8 trillion credit gap. Through imposing responsible practices and ensuring that Borrowers have access to transparent information about terms and interest rates, we are building a network that enables fast and trustworthy loan decisions.
It is essential to the LendLedger team that responsible lending practices stand at the heart of not only our own platform, but of others in the space. As such we could not be more enthused to be part of a community where these best practice issues will be discussed with other Lenders. We hope that by furthering our commitment to responsible lending, we will encourage others to follow these best practices.
