11 BCIT New Media Portfolio sites 2017
Hi, I am Leo Tohyama studying at BCIT New Media and Web Development.
In this course we have studied about Web Design, Web Development, and Web Marketing for one year. In the city of Vancouver, if I say “I am going to BCIT’s New Media and Web Design”, people always see me and say “Oh, I know it is tough school.” It is a famous course for tons of assignments.
Currently, we are in the last term and we are looking for a job opportunity. For that reason, we are spending a lot of time on portfolio production.
In this article, I will introduce 10 wonderful portfolios of such New Media and Web Development classmates.

Before introducing my classmates’ portfolio, I will introduce myself.

Before coming to Vancouver, I worked as a web marketer for 4 years in Japan. Therefore, after graduating from this course, I would like to work as a web marketer in Vancouver. This portfolio contains my successful SEO experience on the website, I launched, methods of Web analytics, and experiments that take advantage of the skills of Web development studied in the class.
The project especially I would like you to check is the successful experience with Content SEO. I launched a website in January 2016, and after 10 months, I grow the website up to 240,000 monthly page views. I’m trying to explain some techniques on the project page.

The best project is probably Corporate Landing Page because I was successfully able to translate a photoshop web design into a functioning front-end website.

This is a portfolio of Rebecca Williams who wishes to find employment as a Graphic Designer. Her remarkable projects are Forager magazine and Desert Dash.
Forager magazine is my most in-depth project because I was able to apply it to many classes but Desert Dash was probably the most fun since it involved coming up with a game concept, logo and assets and creating everything in illustrator.
