We certainly live in interesting times. The husband of Hillary Clinton’s closest aide is a sexual predator under FBI investigation. In any normal election cycle this alone would be newsworthy — but the real story relates to what was found on a laptop seized by the FBI from Anthony Weiner’s home.
After discovering a third, previously undisclosed, email server used by Clinton and her staff during her time in office the FBI Director was forced to reopened the criminal investigation. The FBI has confirmed the emails in question weren’t from the original server — the pertinent issue is Hillary Clinton’s failure to disclose the existence of the server and its contents in violation of court orders, subpoenas from Congress, and during her interview with the FBI.
Throughout the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private email system the FBI negotiated with Hillary’s team to gain access to her various computer systems. Never once during the investigation did the FBI seize any computer equipment. Earlier this summer, when inappropriate pictures of Anthony Weiner and a child surfaced, his wife moved out of their house leaving behind their shared laptop — the FBI seized the laptop as part of their investigation.
Hillary Clinton and her aides tightly controlled the equipment that the FBI was given as part of their investigation — she had no way of knowing that her closest aide’s husband would inadvertently reveal the existence of this third email system and thus never made it available to authorities. Sources inside the FBI have explained that, unlike her home-based server, this server was hosted on Gmail and was used by Clinton and her staff to discuss issues related to the Foundation and the State Department.
With just ten days left until the election there is a very real possibility that Anthony Weiner will do what Republicans have failed to do for decades — take down the most powerful woman in politics — all because he sent pornographic pictures to a child…
