Last month Mark Cuban put his reputation on the line when he defended the Clinton Foundation from charges that the charity was in fact a “pay-to-play” operation run by the Clinton family. What Mark didn’t know was that IRS Commissioner John Koskinen referred congressional charges of corrupt Clinton Foundation “pay-to-play” activities to the tax agency’s exempt operations office for investigation. Much of the focus of the investigation surrounds Laureate Education and Uranium One — both companies paid the Clintons millions directly and indirectly through the Clinton Foundation and received subsequently received huge benefits from the administration. The investigation won’t be complete until after the election so Cuban will have to wait to see if his defense of the foundation was warranted.
