Mark Cuban could never be president because he’s a misogynistic failure.

Nevermind that he’s a great father, an honorable man, and a gifted entrepreneur.

In truth, I’m frustrated that Mark Cuban rescinded his endorsement of Donald Trump — but I totally understand why he did. The worst thing that I’ve learned during the Trump candidacy is the fact that the media and the Washington elite have no idea how business works. They simply don’t get it. They attack Donald Trump for following the tax code, using the judicial system, for taking huge risks, and being an entrepreneur. Sadly Mark Cuban has become an amplifier of anti-Trump rhetoric for the media and the left — what he might not realize is that he’s exactly the sort of person they love to hate.

Donald Trump spent his entire career in the limelight. Donald Trump has always been Donald Trump — rough edges and all. Through his successes and failures he’s found support from all corners of our country — from political leaders like Bill and Hillary Clinton to Howard Stern. But now that he dares to run for office every aspect of his life is vilified by all of the people who used to call him a friend — the media who used to love him now calls him the “greatest threat to democracy in our time.”

Ironically, Donald Trump was a creature and creation of NBC (Apprentice)— just as Mark Cuban is a creature and creation of NBC (SharkTank). Eleven years ago NBC caught Donald Trump on tape saying rude and crass things about women — they didn’t fire him — instead they hired him to host their Apprentice TV franchise for the next decade. In a twisted bit of irony NBC is replacing Trump with Arnold Schwarzenegger — the former governor of California who was accused of sexually assaulting six women — while he did apologize to the women he claimed he couldn’t remember what he did to them.

Perhaps this will help,“Three of the women claimed he had grabbed their breasts, a fourth said he placed his hand under her skirt on her buttock. A fifth woman claimed Schwarzenegger tried to take off her bathing suit in a hotel elevator, and the last said he pulled her onto his lap and asked her about a sex act.” NBC fired Billy Bush for talking to Donald Trump — but they’ll hire Arnold to replace him. Do you think they would hesitate throwing Mark Cuban over the railing if it suited their needs?

The reality is that the media and the Democrats love celebrity — they worship it — the sad reality is that they have no loyalty. They will build you up to tear you down. Here are just a few ways they would tear Cuban down:

On Failure

Mark Cuban is perhaps the most successful failure in history. Today Mark is basking in the glow of praise and adulation from the media and the left. But if he ever decided to run for office they would point out that Mark Cuban has cost the American taxpayers billions of dollars. The truth is, that the vast majority of the businesses he’s been involved in have failed. Failed utterly.

Millions of American taxpayers lost money in their 401K retirement savings as a result of Mark Cuban’s sale of Broadcast.com to Yahoo. The company paid more than $5 billion to Cuban and his investors — money that was taken from the 401Ks of millions of Americans to line Cuban’s deep pockets.

The reality is that Cuban’s company, Broadcast.com never made a dime in profit and had minimal revenues. Had the company not sold or found new investors it would have had to file for bankruptcy in 2001 — along with hundreds of other dotcom companies that went bust that year. In what is called one of the worst deals in history Yahoo bought the company and almost immediately wrote down the investment to zero, fired the executives responsible, and shut it down.

With more than $2 billion burning a hole in his pocket Mark Cuban bought the Dallas Mavericks along with famed entrepreneur and investor Ross Perot. After years of losing money Perot asked the court to fire Cuban and appoint a receiver to take over the business. Perot claimed that Cuban had committed gross negligence and that the team was “insolvent and/or in imminent danger of insolvency.” In a sworn statement Perot said that Cuban was, “careless and reckless.” At the time, the Mavericks had posted a net operating losses of $273 million between 2000 and 2009 and had debts of over $280 million. The lawsuit was dismissed, but it is still unknown whether or not the team continues to lose money for Cuban’s investors.

Finally, more than 90% of the investments Mark Cuban makes actually fail. Over and over he’s invested millions in startups and without exception most of them end up having to file bankruptcy — leaving creditors, employees, and investors holding the bag. What is it about Cuban that predicts failure?

What the media and the left fail to understand is that in the startup world of entrepreneurship a 10% success rate is considered success. Mark Cuban is a HUGE success — a billionaire no less — but if he ran for president he would be portrayed as a HUGE failure.

On Taxes

Mark Cuban has made it VERY clear that if he runs for president he won’t release his taxes — one of the few things Cuban and Trump agree on. Beyond attacking him for his failure to disclose his taxes the press would attack him for using the same tax code provisions that Donald Trump used in 1995.

Cuban’s basketball team lost millions of dollars for years — hundreds of millions of dollars. He was sued by his partners for mismanagement and their lawsuit revealed the fact that the team was generating millions of dollars in losses — losses that Mark Cuban was able to carry forward to offset future gains thus reducing his taxes to $0.

Before the Mavericks, the company that put Cuban on the map (Broadcast.com) had never made a dime — in fact the company had lost millions and had a loss carry forward of more than $10M before being sold to Yahoo for billions. The ONLY thing that the company did for Yahoo was to provide a decent tax write off.

Mark Cuban, like Trump, pays his taxes, gets audited, and leverages the tax code to his advantage.

On Women

These…

Mark Cuban would make a great president. Far better than Hillary Clinton. Perhaps better than Donald Trump. The reality is that the media and the left will never allow him that honor… And that is what is wrong with America today.
