It now appears likely that Hillary Clinton will win the presidency on November 8th — it appears equally as likely that she will face a criminal indictment at some point in the future. None of the possible scenarios will result in Hillary Clinton being brought to justice — instead, more than likely, they’ll rip our republic apart. Leadership often requires making hard, often unpopular, decisions — President Obama is the only person in the country who can prevent was will most certainly become a constitutional crisis — President Obama must pardon Hillary and Bill Clinton today.

Of course, if the FBI and DoJ want to indict Hillary Clinton they will have to hurry — they won’t be able to touch her by January 20th. So they’ve got to indict her, prosecute, and convict her before she is sworn in next year. Hillary has the right to a speedy trial, but she might argue that she needs more time to prepare her defense — running out the clock. Once she sworn in she can no longer be indicted as she would be immune from prosecution while in office. Furthermore, Congress could not impeach her for crimes committed PRIOR to taking office.

There is literally no way that Hillary Clinton can be held accountable for her crimes once she is elected on November 8th, but that doesn’t mean the FBI, DoJ, and Congress won’t try. Try they will — the nation will be embroiled in a constitutional crisis of unthinkable proportions — and in the end Hillary Clinton will remain in office and the people of the United States will be further divided.
