The Truth about Comey

Hint: He’s not a Donald Trump supporter.

The Democrats were thrilled with FBI Director James Comey’s decision not to recommend prosecution of Hillary Clinton earlier this summer. To say Republicans were frustrated is an understatement. Comey’s most recent letter to Congress suggesting he’s reopening the investigation has given some Republicans hope that the rule of law is still in effect — they are mistaken. James Comey is firmly in the #Imwithher camp.

First, you might be surprised to learn that before being tapped by President Obama to run the FBI he worked for Lockheed Martin — his last year with the company he earned more than $6M and had the company make a sizable donation to the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative. That same year Hillary’s State Department awarded Lockheed Martin 17 weapons deals.

Second, you might be even more surprised to learn that James Comey’s brother works for the Clinton Foundation’s law firm — DLA Piper. The firm has given Hillary Clinton more money that even the very generous Goldman Sachs.

At the end of the day if Comey was a Trump leaning partisan he would have recommended prosecution for the technical violations she made while Secretary of State.
