Was the Obama family’s nanny worth $2M (and counting) in taxpayer money?

The $2M Nanny

The U.S. taxpayers have paid Malia and Sasha Obama’s grandmother $250,000 a year for the past eight to be their live-in nanny. Furthermore, after she leaves the White House she’ll make a lifetime pension of $160,000 per year for all of her hard work. My question? Was she worth it?

From a value perspective it is hard to justify paying a nanny $2M for eight years of work (not even counting the lifetime pension). But perhaps she did a great job — you be the judge:

The First Daughter

Malia was blowing off a little steam this summer. Doing a little twerking and a little weed — what’s the harm? Her had was doing a lot more than weed at her age — but he never had a $2M nanny. What are the taxpayers supposed to expect for $2M? Love your thoughts.
