Why it is better to drink green juice in the morning?

A lot of people say that it is better to have breakfast as late as you can, so you let your body to wake up fully before you charge your digestive system with food to process. However, a juice made of fruit or vegetables doesn’t have fibre in it, so there is nothing to digest. Instead, it fills the lack of moisture in the body, brings oxygen to your cells and purifies the blood.

The best way to make a green juice is using a cold-press juicer, which does not oxidise vegetables and fruits due to overheating, but you can also use a blender with a filter.

Here I offer a recipe of a very simple juice to enjoy in the morning:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cucumbers
  • a straw of fresh spinach
  • 3 stalks of celery + leafs
  • 3 acid apples
  • 250 ml water
  • a straw of mint
  • lime

Process all the ingredients in a juicer or blend them together and then use a filter to get rid of pulp. Add water and drink right away.
