On the corner.
Slowly losing their shape,
Gaining their despondence,
Watching as time neglects,
Smiling only when faced with the prospect of future,
Their entire life spent sitting around,
Beheaded and beaten,
Emptied and forlorn,
Realizing their legacy,
Will only be remembered,
In writings published,
By those who remember,
Forgotten, wasting away
On the corner.
