The Real Secret Behind Results
“It’s not up to you and it’s not not up to you.” — Michael Neill (quoted from memory)
I looked up from my desk yesterday — I work in my husband’s office on Mondays — and there is a poster on the wall. It says: “Thoughts and emotions lead to actions, actions lead to results”.
That’s not not true, but I think it points us to the false belief that we can get the results we want if we have the right thoughts and emotions creating the right actions. And in my book, that is quite a bit misleading.
It misses the mark on the profound nature of results. On the truth behind what we call results.
Results come from something beyond actions, something that involves actions and yet does not solely rely on actions.
