Joyce Carol Vincent was loved by many friends and family. She was known by many in the music industry. She wasn’t a drug addict. She wasn’t homeless. She wasn’t a recluse. She was beautiful, sociable, and outgoing.

She died sometime in December 2003, but the exact date is unknown. This is because Joyce wasn’t found until over two years later. Her body lay in her bedsit flat in north London, undiscovered for all that time.

For unknown reasons, the 40-year-old had cut off contact with most of her family and friends shortly before her death. The flat she was living in was a home for victims of domestic abuse. She inexplicably quit her job in 2001.

On the 25th of January 2006, Joyce’s skeletal remains were finally discovered. The condition of her body made it nearly impossible to determine her cause of death. It is believed that she may have died from an asthma attack or a peptic ulcer she had been suffering with before her death.

Joyce Vincent had been working in the treasury department at Ernst & Young for four years when she suddenly quit in March of 2001. No one knows why she left her job. She began a new job as a hotel cleaner and moved into the domestic abuse shelter. This is…
