Japan postponed the Summer Olympics Games to 2021. They had scheduled the Summer Games for 2020.

In the press conference announcing the decision, senior Japanese government officials emphasized the point that an Olympics jinx happens every 40 years. The statement was that there would be a problem in the Olympics every once in 40 years. Is it true if so, what is the jinx?
