Lebanon makes the Yugoslav ethno-confessional Macedonia (fruit salad) look homogenous. Will it follow post Black September 1970 Jordan into sovereignty and peace with Israel or Syria, Somalia, Libya and Yemen into permanent state failure?

History is full of dead civilizations that persecuted or ruled over Jews: pharaonic Egypt, Philistines, Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Seleucid Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Abbasid, Fatimid, Almohad and Mameluke Muslims, the Ottoman, British, Nazi & Soviet Empires.

Today’s Muslim world is full of failed states and dysfunctional or dead regimes that chose pan-Arab or jihadi Jew hatred over co-existence with Israel, “occupying” its ancestral homeland 1/650th the size of Muslim states’ land:

• The dead: Nasser’s Egypt, Gheddafi’s Libya, Saddam’s Iraq, Assad’s Syria, in the latest edit moved here from the walking dead, war-torn Somalia and Yemen and Algeria torn apart by its 1990s jihadi civil war.
• The walking dead: an Iran-colonized and jihadi militia-plagued Iraq and the ghost state of post civil war Hezbollah-occupied proxified Lebanon.
