Apart from his voracity for knowledge, tyranny, hero worship by Leftist intellectuals, elephantine memory, being a sex symbol, being Latin America’s last dictator, and a connoisseur of cigars. Fidel Castro was also famous for the 638 unsuccessful life attempts made on his life by the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Before old age finally took a toll, Castro eluded the CIA for almost 40 years. Some of the attempts were so bizarre and downright ridiculous that it is difficult to verify the claims.
