Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill lived till the age of 90.

During his life, he achieved outstanding accomplishments in the realm of politics.

Churchill’s efforts during world war II steered Britain away from a doomed fate.

Churchill was also awarded the title of “honorary citizen of the United States” by John F. Kennedy.

His name makes up the list of greatest statesmen of the 20th century.

1. Churchill was an artist.

Very early in his life, Churchill began painting portraits. Until his death, he had painted more than 550 pieces.

Churchill enjoyed painting, and his artworks were highly valued. His work titled “View of Tinherir” was sold for £612,800 in 2006.

Another masterpiece titled “The Goldfish Pool at Chartwell” was sold in 2014 for £1.8 million.

He mostly painted still life and impressionist landscapes.

The renowned painter, Paul Maze, was his friend and also influenced him greatly.
