1. David Bowie Made Controversial Statements About Adolf Hitler
Bowie, like many music legends, wasn’t afraid to cause controversy, and some of his most infamous statements centered around Adolf Hitler, the leader of the Nazi Party.
In May 1976, Bowie arrived in London. As he got into a Mercedes Landau limousine, he performed what looked like a Nazi salute in front of the assembled fans, and the act was caught on film. Bowie rejected the public backlash, saying he was simply waving to the crowd.
