Who was Adonis?
From Greek mythology, Adonis was said to be the most handsome — with whom goddess Aphrodite fell in love. After Adonis’ transformation from mortal to god, he became the god of — beauty, rebirth, seasons, fertility, and youth.

He was also celebrated for his connection to death and rebirth.

When Adonis was mortal, he died while he was on a hunt. Distressed Aphrodite came to seek the god Zeus and urged him to bring back Adonis to life.
