It was the final days of Hitler in his bunker in Berlin with top Nazi officials. Among them was one man who climbed up the Nazi leadership just because of one top Nazi leader’s stupidity. His name was Martin Bormann, and his one of the principal architects of the Holocaust.

Martin Bormann was born on 17 June 1900. Bormann attached himself to the radical right-wing party early in his life.

Along with Rudolf Hoss (future in charge of tje Auschwitz concentration camp), he killed Walther Kadow, who was responsible for identifying far-right members in the Weimar Republic. Bormann came out of jail early, joined the Schutzstaffel, and became the Nazi party head of Thuringia.

As the Nazi Party became violent, they needed insurance for their members. None of the German insurance companies were ready to insure them, so the Nazis decided to start their own insurance company.
