Is Benito Mussolini Still Alive?
The end of fascism is always bad
On 29 April 1945 at 3 AM in the morning…
A yellow truck stopped at Piazzale Loreto Chowk in Milan The corpses of former Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, Clara Petacci (mistress of Mussolini), and 16 others placed in it were thrown on the street.
By the morning, this news had spread in the whole city. Thousands of people marched towards the intersection where Mussolini killed 15 of his opponents eight months ago. Today Mussolini’s deeds were about to be accounted for.
A woman shot five bullets in Mussolini’s dead body. This was the revenge of her five martyred children. A woman shamelessly raised her clothes and urinated in Mussolini’s face. Another woman brought a whip and started beating Mussolini’s body. A man puts a dead rat in Mussolini’s mouth and screamed — now give a speech with this fucking mouth.
The angry crowd was mad with hatred. A man came crushing all the bodies and kicked Mussolini’s bald head. One hit Mussolini with the butt of the gun. People climbed all over the dead bodies and crushed them with their feet. People were spitting on them, and abusing those dead bodies.
A person made Mussolini’s gruesome body stand on the knees, people were happy, and some people from behind said — we cannot see.
So, Mussolini’s body was tied with other dead bodies in the legs and hung on the pillars of the Chowk. The almighty tyrant was now hanging upside down at the crossroads after being shot.
When Clara Petacci was hung upside down, her skirt went down reverse. Lingerie was not there, crowds scoffed, uttered dirty words. Someone from the crowd came ahead and tied the skirt to the ankle.
Mussolini's face was a bloodbath. The mouth was open. There was a bullet that had hit him near his eye, which broke off his head and had made a big hole. At this time, a fascist named Akile Starechi tried to give a fascist salute to his leader. Akile Starechi was caught there and was shot after being beaten badly.
This spectacle continued till one o’clock in the afternoon. Then, the American army arrived, took all the corpses and closed them in coffins, and took them to the morgue. Post mortem had taken place. The four bullets which were hit on the chest were the cause of death. The corpses were buried in a graveyard in Milan.
Mussolini, who came to power on 31 October 1922, was the father of fascism. Fasi, ie Fursa, means the holy weapon of the ancient Romans. But his real weapons were two — the consent and the force.
Consent is the first and the greatest weapon
Consent that you give, by hearing him at the speeches. Speech that starts with patriotic notes. The get back of ancient pride, hatred of neighboring countries, hatred of others within the society, hatred of the chosen people, and special sections of its history.
Then hate the rich who have black money, hate the businessmen who are profiteers, hate the laborers who are freemen, hate the weak, who are a burden on the country.
Everyone finds a legitimate reason for hating
Then hate any religion, hate any caste, hate any person… hate, hate, hate.
Slowly hate is filled so much with you, that you scream and demand to punish the character of your hatred. It is the turn of each one after the other. Hatred becomes happy, it gets frightening. The support Fascism gets increases.
Fascism offers only suffering
This suffering starts with others. When you see others in their pain, sorrow, and distress, you start getting joyless pleasure.
At this time, you become a firm supporter of fascism. You cannot see that the exact same sorrow and suffering is affecting you as well.
Equal or more blood is also flowing from you as well. But you feel proud after feeling pain. After all, this is your sacrifice for the country. You meet with hooligan goons crowding and trolling the lynch. You become a fascist in yourself.
And when such fascist blood beds make inroads into every part of society, the force starts. Aggressive speech, aggressive propaganda, absolute abolition of every voice, of protest, terror role of police, and goons. Society is divided into two distinct parts. But only one part remains that is terror.
See the magic of hatred, that from time to time, it changes its form.
Ever since I started writing on dictators, everyone said enthusiastically that the dictator’s end is bad. But think, despite twenty-two years of chaos, the people of Italy should make someone happy, cheer them up.
So one morning after that, if the corpse of Mussolini was scratched, crushed, and spat. The crowd was actually spitting on it. The woman who shot Mussolini had 5 sons, who were by their consent or by force. They died for Mussolini.
Now, after thirty years of suffering, renunciation, self-sufficiency, annihilating the generation on the fictional pride of caste, religion, race, and history, if someone comes to consciousness. What would they come?
After this incident in 1945, it took Italy thirty more years to return to the state in which it was in 1922.
Elections were held again in Italy in 1948.
The Fascist Party once led by Mussolini got 2 percent of the total votes polled. The Fascist Party game was over. Supporters and officials were hiding their faces from the public.
This story is from Italy. But even today, in many parts of the world, fascism is not a dead idea. It is alive, in hearts, on the verge of hatred.
If this hatred is getting strength from the surrounding resonance.
If this hatred is getting organized.
If the suffering of a community has become the joy of the country.
Everyone should understand that some Mussolini is around it, who is the one to take benefit from it.
Very close to you, in your neighborhood, in your newspapers, on your TV, and in the high levels of power,
