Strangely, Robert F. Kennedy Junior, the son of a progressive icon, could be the Democratic version of Donald J. Trump Senior (R-New York).

Since Trump’s surprise presidential victory in 2016, pundits have been seeking a Democratic Trump. To explain, the Democratic Trump is an improbable candidate who wins by breaking by all the rules and violating norms as Trump did.

Kennedy, an environmental lawyer known for his anti-vaccine activism, launched his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination on 19 April 2023. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., or RFK, is doing surprisingly well in the polls. For example, a 19 April 2023 USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll found 14% of 600 Biden voters supported RFK.

Hence, Robert F. Kennedy Junior could be a credible candidate. Thus, we need to examine the man and his similarities to Trump.
