Killer clowns, we all hate them, right? But why do we hate them so much? At its core, clowns are there to entertain people, but because some specific group of people who dressed up as clowns decided to make it creepy, we now hate clowns.

One good example is John Wayne Gacy, or Pogo the Killer Clown, who murdered at least 33 young people.

Gacy’s Youth

Gacy was born with three children. His father, John Wayne Gacy Senior, was an alcoholic and abused the young John Wayne, who in his eyes was a weakling because he disliked fishing and hunting, among other things. Gacy attended Catholic schools and was also raised Catholic.

As a boy, Gacy was fascinated by the police and wanted to become a cop when he grew up. At the age of eleven, John Wayne was hit in the back of the head by a swing.

He continued to suffer from ‘blackouts’ until, at the age of seventeen, it was determined that the accident had caused a blood clot, which was treated with medication.

After a couple of years, Gacy moved to Las Vegas and first encountered the law there when he has arrested and others for several business burglaries.
