Teen Murders Neighbor for TikTok Popularity
Video of the 51-year-old Corrections Officer’s murder went viral after it was posted on TikTok by the teen’s wife.
Authorities reported a teen in Vineland, Zachary Latham, murdered William T. Durham, a state corrections officer. Durham was brutally stabbed multiple times on May 4th, 2020. The killing is said to be a result of a weeks-long feud between both families.
How Did the Feud Start?
Zachary had been known for his alleged rash driving in the neighborhood of Thornhill Road. His neighbor and South Woods State Police Correctional Officer, William T. Durham, had called him out several times. However, this did not become a point of contention as Zachary went to the Durhams’ home to apologize as well.
According to Mike Gallagher, Durhams’ friend and lawyer, the feud started when William’s wife, Catherine Durham, shouted at Latham when he was allegedly overspeeding again on their street. Upon which Zachary swore at her and sped away.
After that incident, he started harassing the family online. The video evidence of which was posted on Latham’s social media. He was seen badgering Catherine by repeatedly calling her “Karen.” That video amassed over 3 million views. Afterward…
