You’re going to think I’m crazy, but Ludwig van Beethoven is the father of modern dance music. Before you laugh, let’s step back a minute and examine our current time.

We live in a strange age where DJs are stars.

It’s kind of odd when you think about it. In previous times, you needed to be a singer or someone playing a physical instrument to be in front of the spotlight. Now, the person behind a table creating a backbeat gets notoriety.

This individual was once a silent member of a production team, but now their names are listed on the covers of albums. Where they were the prime figure behind the walls of a dark club, they’ve escaped and become world famous.

Names like Avicii, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, and Steve Aoki are common knowledge to most people under 45.

The thought that the person usually hidden in a studio becoming famous may sound odd to some, but the reason for their fame isn’t. Human beings have always moved to music.

But more than that, the rhythm of the beat almost lends to synchronized movements.
