Martin Luther King Jr. is one of the most recognizable civil rights icons of the 20th century. Despite his tragic death at the age of 39, his legacy continues to live on in the form of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The BLM movement started as a response to the death of Trayvon Martin and has since become a broader movement to challenge systemic racism and injustice. This article will surely enhance and explore the connection between King’s legacy and the BLM movement.

In the mid-20th century, Martin Luther King Jr. was the leading figure of the civil rights movement.

He preached a message of non-violent civil disobedience and exhorted those protesting racial injustice and discrimination to respond with love and compassion instead of violent retaliation.
