The Little Albert Experiment
The Dark Side of Science
There are many experiments conducted — on animals, birds, and humans. Some of those experiments get successful while most of them fail.
When an experiment fails, the subject(it is what they call the person or animal on whom the experiment is performed) dies or gets a terminal illness.
But the scientist involved in the experiments never gets the blame for the death of the subject.
Why?
Because duh, animals can’t speak or blame them
and in the case of humans, they have their way out beforehand which they name as the consent form.
But what if some crazy psycho scientist starts psychological experimenting on infants?
It seems weird and disturbing but yes it happened to the 9-month-old infant.
Most scientists still consider it one of the cruelest experiments in human history.
In 1890, a physiologist was researching how dogs’ digestion works.
He observed that when food is offered to dogs, saliva forms in their mouth.
So he wanted to know exactly when that saliva forms in dogs’ mouths.
