David McGreavy — 1973 (The Times)

In April 1973, David McGreavy, also known as the monster of Worcester, was arrested by the local police for killing 3 children that same day. The man is responsible for the death of one boy and his two sisters.

This case caused a lot of uproar in the region at the time. He became known as the monster of Worcester because of the atrocities he had committed.

The Early Life of David

David McGreavy (full name David Anthony McGreavy) was born in 1951 in Southport in England. He was the son of Thomas and Bella McGreavy, who had six children. David was the second of six children.

Their father was in the British Army, a sergeant, to be precise. Due to that, the family moved a lot around the country because of the different posts in the army.

David left school and 1967 and decided to join the Royal Navy, he hoped to make a career here, but in 1971, David was sent away because he was guilty of starting a fire that would have burned down a mess wardroom.

Because David had no place to go, he moved back with his parents to Worcestershire. At the time, he had a fiancee, but they broke up…
