On October 12th, 2016, 24-year-old Alice Ruggles was murdered in her bathroom in her Rawling Road flat in Gateshead. Before her murder, Alice’s ex-boyfriend had stalked and harassed her. She went to the Northumbria police to complain about him, but since the police were of no help, her stalker ex got inside her apartment and killed her.

The Beginning of a Cruel Relationship

Alice was described by people who knew her as extremely kind and soft-hearted. She was the kind of person who loved meeting new people and making friends. A Product Design Engineer, Alice was working at a Newcastle company and had recently been promoted as a site coordinator. Being the third of four siblings, she was very close to her family and was always connected to them. She resided in Newcastle in a house with four housemates.

Her interaction with Trimaan Dhillon, commonly known as Harry, began in October 2015. He had commented on a picture of Alice, posted by her friend, saying she was the most naturally beautiful woman he had ever seen.
