Born on November 6, 1967, in Oregon, Schaeffer was a drama enthusiast since childhood. She grew up into a beautiful young woman and was approached for modeling. After just two years of working as a model, she moved to New York City to pursue a full-time career in entertainment.
She gained fame after landing My Sister Sam, and in the two-season run of the show with her in it, she managed to make a name for herself in the industry.
