Rebecca Schaeffer was an up-and-coming actress in the 1980s. She first appeared on television when she got a role in the soap opera One Life to Live. Her most prominent role and the one that landed her a lot of loving and devoted fans came in the sitcom My Sister Sam.

Born on November 6, 1967, in Oregon, Schaeffer was a drama enthusiast since childhood. She grew up into a beautiful young woman and was approached for modeling. After just two years of working as a model, she moved to New York City to pursue a full-time career in entertainment.

She gained fame after landing My Sister Sam, and in the two-season run of the show with her in it, she managed to make a name for herself in the industry. She started working in films and was meant to audition for a role in The Godfather III on the day she was brutally murdered on her house’s doorstep.
