Edgar Allan Poe is widely recognized as a master storyteller, known primarily for his works of horror and the creation of detective fiction. Yet Poe was also a pioneer of science fiction who predicted the future.

Yet, many overlook his role as a visionary whose writings predicted future scientific discoveries and societal changes. Poe’s literary journey began in 1827 when he published his poetry, but it was his later works that demonstrated an uncanny foresight.

While most remember him for tales of the macabre and the mysterious detective C. Auguste Dupin, his contributions to literature extended beyond these genres. Poe’s works often contained elements that hinted at future advancements long before they became recognized by the public or the scientific community.

The Big Bang Prediction

Eureka, a lesser-known work by Edgar Allan Poe, stands out for its forward-thinking concepts and ideas that predate many modern scientific discoveries.
