Italian history will remain incomplete if there is no mention of the infamous Giacomo Casanova.

Apart from being known for his intelligence and seduction, he is famous as an adventurer.

History of Venice mentions different aspects of Casanova. One of his memorable parts was his imprisonment in 1756. He was a graduate but had a habit of gambling.

When he was young he lived with his grandmother. At a very young age, he fell in love with his tutor’s sister who taught him the art of seduction.

There is no doubt on him being multitalented. He had a law degree and was a violin player for a theatre in Venice.

He was also a self-proclaimed Knight, violinist, con-man, criminal, dancer, businessman, diplomat, spy, mathematician, social philosopher, playwright, and writer. Too much for one person to be!!

Being a playwright and prankster he was later known for his life in prison. The social life of Casanova in Venice during the 18th century slowly turmoil with his scandals which turned bigoted to the society.

Among his famous and infamous incidents, one was his life in prison and escape.
