It was September 1961 a flight with a vital passenger flew over North Rhodesia.

The plane abruptly dropped out of the sky and crashed. The accident shocked the diplomatic community across the world. Unfortunately, only one person survived the crash, but he too succumbed to wounds five days later.

The important passenger of the fight was the United Nations secretary general, Dag Hammarskjöld, the only United Nations secretary general to die while in office. Dag Hammarskjöld was also the only person to receive the Nobel Prize for Peace posthumously. His fatal plane crash is still a mystery as new pieces of evidence emerge.
