Chinese views on sex and sexuality have gone through drastic changes over the last few centuries. Things were a lot different in ancient China than they are today. Homosexuality, polyamorous, and even-marital relations were common back then. Ancient Chinese thought of sexual intercourse as a means to enrich the spirit.
It is so difficult to give an exact answer to what sex was like in ancient China because there were so many different traditions, practices, and myths. My research will however cover some common facts from old Chinese dynasty times and give you a brief idea about what sex and sexuality were like back then.
1. Men were so hospitable that they even loaned their wives.
I mean should I laugh or cry? To say the least, people in ancient China were way more hospitable than other ancient societies. It was common for local men to loan their wives to visitors and travelers. They thought of travelers as gods and respected them a lot. They strongly believed that if they let travelers sleep with their wives, it would bring in new blood to the family and that was a sign of a better future.
