Introduction

Most of the literature on organizational behavior has been penned by veterans — of industry, of labor, of the world’s finest corporate structures. Their insights and manifestos are tried and often, true. But in a world that increasingly (and understandably) values the specialized expert, Lessons from the Bottom attempts to democratize organizational perspective and where it comes from. There is wisdom to be gained from the very bottom of the totem pole, and these conversations are meant to provide exactly that.

We will retain anonymity for those who prefer it. Why? It’s no coincidence wisdom from the bottom often runs scarce. There’s more at stake for the entry level hire, job security being foremost.

We welcome civil feedback, and hope those at the bottom and top will find our posts at best, operable and at least, intriguing.
