Society doesn’t reward defeat, and you won’t find many people talking about their failures. On the other hand, we all love success stories. However, success doesn’t come without a failure!

I have not failed 10,000 times. I’ve successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work.- Thomas Edison

Talking about your own failure with your friends and family seems like a dangerous territory, it can be. However, don’t think of it as a negative! Imagine failing at something when you are in 30's and 40's and wish you would’ve failed earlier.

Fail now, and fail fast!! Talk about it as much as you can because without failing at something you will never learn your lessons.

Fear within you will never get you started what you have dreamed of, and without failure, you will never reach your end goal. Fear of failing is failure in itself because it holds back so many people. Failing allows you to grow, learn and excel.

Failure means you have courage

Even though you didn’t succeed at what you laid out for yourself, you took the first step of getting started! Courage is not the absence of fear, rather it is facing the fear and taking an action anyway.

Failure makes you stronger

When you fail at something and don’t get the results you want, you become more determined to succeed. It is completely okay to question and feel frustrated when you fail at first, but failure makes you more focused.

Failure helps you learn & grow

Every step of a failure, you learn something. If Michael Jordan hadn’t failed at missing 30,000 plus shots, he would’ve never been the best to ever play. It simply gave Jordan an opportunity to try a different method. This is the mentality of geniuses and successful people. After experiencing failure, you will never be the same as you were before. This gives you an opportunity to grow.

Failure gives you the best chance of success

Research out at Stanford University has shown that those who are the top of their fields are the ones who have failed the most. Having to persevere to learn a new skill gives you the advantage over others who are afraid of failure and try new things.

Failing makes you stronger, gives you courage, helps you learn and grow and improves your chances of success. So, fail fast and take a LOT of hits.
