Ted completed his packing. Ted was checking the apartment for the last time whether anything was left to be put in the bag or not, and surprisingly nothing was. It was half-past Six and still, Ted had some time. Ted moved to his favorite spot in the apartment, the balcony where he was used to spending most of his leisure time. Ted was witnessing the sceneries’ from the balcony for the last time. He was to shift to another city to carve the upcoming beautiful chapters of his life about which he didn’t know. Ted dwelled into deep thoughts.

Arrival of something new is always enticing. It captures your thoughts, your life. It changes the way the things move with you. But beginning of something always comes with the end of the other thing. Ted was carrying mixed feelings; fascination for a new beginning and somberness for the end which he was witnessing.

The end is silent. It always comes in sudden; like a flash of light. It stops everything and always brings something which we never had before. Ted looked out of the balcony again. The world was the same as always, but different for Ted. He was feeling nostalgic. He knew that he was going to miss the world around him which was there with him for a long period.

It is not the beginning, nor the end exciting. It is the journey which enthralls. Journey teaches you everything possible. Life is a journey. As Lord Krishna says in Bhagwadgeeta, “every being born will witness the death. It is the journey what we make it.” But sometimes we miss the exquisiteness of the journey in the anticipation of end, and realize in the end that in real the journey was beautiful. The journey gives you memories. And it is not the place where you live or the work which you do create memories. It is the people around you who do. One can breathe, but cannot live alone. The people around you make you to live. The journey becomes easy if you have someone to hold you back. You get close to some people, they talk to you, they start knowing you, they start sharing with you, and they be an indelible part of your life. Those actually become fuel to your journey. The journey becomes easy owing to togetherness.

The most important thing about the journey that it changes the way you are. It changes the way you be. It changes the way you think. The reason of journey is to see what lies within and what’s in between and delightfulness lies in exploring that! The end is a fruit of journey. The destiny has already carved what the end would be. But how we tackle till the end depends upon us and that gauges the way we are. And the change we feel at the end is because of the Journey!

“Good bye” is always sorrowful, but it has to be. Clock was ticking and Ted was ready to move out of the balcony saying the last Good Bye. His journey was very captivating. He felt every feeling that a hominid can feel. Ted moved, thinking to have another beautiful Journey, because there’s never an end. There’s always a new beginning.

“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.”
― Ernest Hemingway
