The fading warmth of a faithful hug,
Moments of bliss unimpeachable.
Sentiments fine, disbursed with ease,
Units of time in gentle, amorphous flux.
Untruths absent, all truths untamed,
Smiles abundant, like a puppy’s joy.
Hearts aflutter, minds ever luminous,
Kindness as instrument, goal and duty.
Wistful, for Time dithers not, steadfast,
Hope as antidote, truth as only shield.
Giving depletes not, grasping always does,
Victory inheres in hearts kind and quiet.
What wealth (other)worldly does rival?
Love, the source and ground of all being.
